Optimist

Wednesday. A very uneven night's sleep seemingly watching the clock all the way through. If not the worst it's ever been then at least close. Awoke for good well before six to listen to the tail end of Rising Up With Sonali and Democracy Now! before getting up and driving first to the gas station to fill the tank (I'd been surprised when I saw the gas gauge warning light shining bright when I returned from breakfast the last time) before parking the car by the 7-11 store. Overcast and a little cold, but not that cold, and so settled in on the patio this time thinking I didn't want to sit inside with other diners when they arrived. Too cautious? Who knows?

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up after nine to walk to the car and drive straight home, taking the selfie in the lobby and settling in here at the computer. Maybe a little tired, but after last night I'm thinking a nap will call out to me before too long.

Later. Not unusually tired after last night for some reason. Finished watching the first season of Intelligence and was surprised to see there was a season two available and so started watching it. We'll see if all this ongoing blizzard of back stabbing, lying and perfidy ends up wearing me out. Still overcast, the weather people are saying a seventy-five percent chance of rain by seven tomorrow morning, so I assume I'll be driving.

Evening. The various PBS stations are still raising money by running specials of no interest to me and so to bed by eight again to turn the lights out before ten. I'm assuming, after last night, that tonight will go more smoothly (he said, forever the optimist).
