A Good Time
Monday. The morning is overcast as these last few days have been overcast, but off to breakfast at the usual place after a reasonable night's sleep, back now just after eight. The Memorial Day holiday has come again, my buckos, and we're still standing. Well, sitting at the moment, but no complaints given the possibilities for mischief you read about every day in the papers.

You should consider giving them up over breakfast.

I believe not reading them at all is the current trend. Read too much, read too little, hard to maintain a balance. Better to go out every morning, eat breakfast with someone with whom you can discuss art, life and Photoshop, spend the rest of the day talking about taking pictures. And maybe ordering additional equipment. Hup! Hup! It's the beginning of the week and we need our little motivational protestations here in Oakland. I talked about driving up the coast later this week after I've had lunch with some of the remaining crew at the old office on Wednesday and I think I'll do it. Maybe drive through the Russian river area, something I haven't done in decades. When was the last time I was in Napa? Spend a night in a motel, take my time, come back with a burnished attitude.

You could consider starting your writing later in the day when something (one hopes) has happened.

Yeah, I know, but I've generally got an energy rush going when I get back to the apartment. I'm worried, if I leave it for the late afternoon, the fuzzy headed thing will put me down on a couch. If I had a couch.

Later. The sun came out before noon so the day has been quite nice. For some reason I went through the Carnaval photos again and came up with another set for artandlife. This thinking I'd exhausted all of them yesterday. Maybe I did. Maybe I have lost my eye. But then again who cares? Kept me off the streets, this afternoon, having a good time.
