Bed After Nine
Friday. To bed right after Elementary at eleven getting what seems to have been a decent, if not overly long, night's sleep. We'll know soon enough if it was indeed enough, as it will soon come back and tell.

Overcast, they're saying some chance of rain much like yesterday, but I suspect we're in for something better. Some of the old crew are getting together at six in Jack London Square for drinks and dinner. I'm not sure I'm up for drinks - fortunately dinner is still viable - actually haven't thought about a drink now since I don't remember.

Later. Nice morning, up finally after an hour's nap, out the door and to the lake to shoot a couple of pictures of the goslings (counted all eighteen). There was a larger, older, gosling off to the side being watched over by two additional geese, maybe I'd included him in the group originally when I counted nineteen.

Back across the street to the bus stop to head downtown, getting off at the ATM and then walking to the pharmacy for a prescription refill and two needed vitamins. Stood in line long enough listening to a rambling conversation between the pharmacist and the customer in front of me to feel the irritation rise, but managed to get out the door and make the return bus (with twenty seconds to spare) and (ta! ta!) without outwardly showing my frustration. Part of life, standing in line, even for those of us who do their best to avoid it.

Particularly as you've become a cranky old codger.

Strange to see that once alien mood appear in my own mirror.

Later still. The day has played out with some playing along to go with it on the guitar. Nothing of interest on television, so I browsed through some of last year's Carnaval Parade pictures and decided, correctly unfortunately, they weren't handled well in Photoshop and all of them could use reimaging. And there's a lot of them. Still, something I enjoy, I redid half a dozen this afternoon for fun, so maybe I'll follow through over these next few months and finish them.

Good luck with that.

Don't I know it.

Evening. Nothing on television, no thought to see if I could find something on Netflix, so to bed after nine. Which is fine. Bed after nine.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco Dolores Park Cinco de Mayo Festival with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
