Volcanoes
Thursday. Lights out after the six minute NPR news broadcast at ten to awaken at a quarter to six. A little early, but a good night's rest. Dawdling a bit, but up and out the door to walk to breakfast on an overcast and cool to cold morning, yet the eyes weren't really watering. Go figure. No complaints, but go figure. I can't.
The avocado and cheese, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, the weight one-tenth of a pound over target on the scale this morning. A bit of a surprise, but what the hell, it varies on its own schedule. We'll watch what we eat for the rest of this day.
Spent more time than usual over the papers before the walk back home, the sky still quite grey, the weather people saying sun later this afternoon with a high in the mid-sixties. Took the usual pictures, the color balance a little better in the dimmer light, the attitude good, the walk back feeling even better.
Nothing on the schedule, although there's still a number of photographs to be processed. Some thought to do some cleaning up here at the computer area, but we have these thoughts more often that not and manage to do nothing about them.
Did wrinkle my nose reading yesterday's entry, some really obvious typos that I hadn't for some reason caught, the prose choppy. What the hell, nothing new in that, we'll shut up now and get to the pictures.
Later. Processed photographs through the early afternoon. Not quite two sections of May Day photographs, but at least there is one and we'll have more choices in putting it together.
The sinus-palate isn't acting up, no thought to take more pain meds this afternoon as we did yesterday. The sun is shining, but I haven't figured out a way to get my ass outside. A day like most days, in other words.
Evening. Watched something I found on the tablet, skipped any thought of watching the Doc Martin episode at seven thinking I'd try watching Happy Valley that started afterward at eight, the first episode in a series I hadn't seen before. I thought. Had trouble understanding what was going on with their accents.
I'm never sure if my own ears are a part of the problem or not, I do now more occasionally ask someone on the phone to repeat what they've said. I don't have problems with other programs, but gave up on Happy Valley when I realized, recalling a particular scene, that I'd seen it before and given up on it back then when I was having similar problems following the story line. So to bed, lights out after the news at ten, hearing something about a lava flow threatening houses in Hawaii. If it's not earthquakes, it's volcanoes.
