Early

Friday. Another lights out after the NPR six minute news broadcast at ten to awaken at ten minutes to six, right at what I guess is now the usual time. Clear skies on the walk to breakfast, the eyes watering and the nose sniffing, but a decent walk, the attitude upbeat.

Had the oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, yesterday's tenth of a pound over was now six-tenths of a pound over this morning. No big deal, I do like their oatmeal. Read the papers in some detail, most of the stuff on Trump having been pretty thoroughly covered in yesterday's broadcasts and on the web.

None of the watering eyes business walking home, taking the usual pictures and coming upon the mystery runner to get a decent picture this time around.

Sun shining, not sure where the temperature is headed, although I believe they've been saying the mid-sixties, similar temperatures for this weekend and Sunday's How Weird Street Faire. Let's hope I'm glued together well enough to get my act out the door, as it's one of the better nearby opportunities for pictures you can find in the bay.

Later. I did lie down feeling tired for an hour, didn't get into the pictures, but watched another movie on the tablet and listened to the usual mid-afternoon television news. What I do on most afternoons, in other words. A walk to the 7-11 look-alike for a pint of ice cream and a small packet of almonds to see this as I crossed Grand. There's obviously a story here as someone took time and care in putting it together including the colorful butterflies that didn't become apparent until I'd opened the images on the computer. Nice.

Evening. Managed to get through the Doc Martin episode at seven, one I've seen before, the usual everyone's rude and crazy plot, but bailed after two minutes when the first episode in the Downton Abby started. For whatever reason I've avoided this series, although it's quite popular, at least I get the idea it's more than popular with the public television audience. Tired at eight and so to bed early.

At the forming up of this year's Cherry Blossom Parade in front of the San Francisco City Hall taken with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
