Answer
Monday. Lights out before ten to awaken just after six and then take my time getting up while listening to Democracy Now! before setting out to drive to breakfast on a bright and sunny day. They're saying it's going to be an into the mid-seventies day. Hey. No complaints.
Arrived five minutes before the restaurant opened, no big deal, I was early, and so settled in to have the Eggs Benedict, country potatoes and coffee for breakfast, taking my time and reading, for some reason, for a longer time than usual. Got home by nine, taking but one picture, as the pandorea vine had people sitting at the table right next to it. (Who is this idiot with a camera and why is he leaning over my scrambled eggs to take a picture?).
The sinus-upper palate is still letting me know it's there, but not as blatently as it was yesterday. Again, a nice day, a day to do more than just say I'm going to head out and do something, but actually, you know, do something.
Right.
Later. A walk over to the lake with lots of people about, taking a camera with a long lens, although I didn't really get a decent photograph out of the few I took. Still a walk a little farther than usual, the vision still jittery when I changed the area of view. Focusing on a single scene, clear as a bell, but enough distortion when I was moving my headd to make me feel uncomfortable. In a bubble. Hard to describe. Maybe because I'd been looking at a LED screen tablet screen for an hour before I set out? Probably not, happens more often than not with or without the tablet.
Back to do what? Watched another Korean series lying in bed on the tablet, not tired enough to turn it off and attempt a nap, up now that it's after four. Nice out there, close to eighty, I'd set out for the first time earlier comfortable in just a t-shirt.
Again, lots of people sunning themselves on blankets and barbecuing around the lake, a small group at the white pergoa area with a set of speakers playing music, one or two people dancing. Not enough to hold me, though, and so right back after the short walk.
Evening. Got up to eighty today. Haven't turned on the fan, but opened a bedroom window wide, folded the blanket and moved it to the foot of the bed. The feet never get too warm, not even in the summer.
Watched little to none of the Monday night television programs. Had the score of the Warriors-Cavaliers game displayed on the computer, watching it inch up as the evening progressed, the Warriors doing another third and fourth quarter come back to win the game.
Need to finish my mail-in ballot tomorrow, do the research on some of the races where I really don't know the names or the histories of the incumbents, let alone their challengers. Why have I put this off for so long?
Why have you put more and more off over these last couple of years?
It's probably obvious, but I really don't want to know the answer.
