Tonight
Tuesday. A decent night's sleep. Pretty much burned out on the tablet last night and so lights out by ten to awaken at five minutes to six in time for the five minute KPFA news before Democracy Now! came on. Another clear skies, sunny day I discovered, heading out to walk to breakfast, the restaurant open when I arrived before seven.
Had a waffle with butter and syrup, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. Not sure why. The waffle was the only thing that appealed, but then had trouble getting it down. Ah, well. Read what interested me in the papers which turned out not to take me all that long and so back to the apartment taking a picture of one of the two remaining pandorea flowers, as there was no one at the breakfast table in front of the restaurant next door this time.
OK, finish the ballot, maybe even mail it at the post office and take care of whatever it is I have buried under the mail I've received these last few days. Really. Do it! Hup!
Later. Watched last night's episode of Elementary on the tablet after lying down in an attempt at a nap and then remembered it had run last night at ten. Past our bedtime, ten. Up to take a short walk to see if anyone might be working on the building they've been modifying for the apartment house/condominium structures to come, figuring since it was after one in the afternoon, the construction workers wouldn't be out at lunch. No one to be found, although I discovered someone hidden in the bowls of the building when I blew up the image on the computer. OK, not a surprise.
Back to lie down for another attempt at a nap before getting up again to listen to the news that starts at two in the living room.
Evening. Watched Doc Martin and pretty much winced throughout. Maybe attempt reading in the evenings instead. Reading. I remember I did a lot of it. From an early age. During a one year period in the army I averaged close to a book a (late) night. Now for the last few years, nothing but newspapers, online web sites (do they even count?) and magazines. Give it a try once I complete this damned ballot I promised to finish by tonight.
