Again

Wednesday. Lights out before ten and to sleep fairly quickly I seem to recall, but awakening at three fifty-five and, in looking at the clock display, misreading it to be five fifty-five and time to get up and so got up to take the morning meds (which cleared the eyes a bit) and to discover the error. Not sure how I did that, other than the brain was foggy and the eyes were crossed. Well, out of focus.

The two hours passed with a couple of eye blinks, ill focused or not, and so up and out the door on an overcast and much colder than yesterday morning, the watering eyes doing their thing. Still, on to breakfast to order the oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast over the papers, the day starting reasonably well, awakening at four in the morning or not.

The walk home, still but two remaining pandorea flowers on their vine, the other on its last petals. The flowers below the Lakeside school probably number more than a hundred, most of them look to be in pretty good shape. Another picture under the 580 overpass and we were home with nothing on the schedule other than to mail in the primary ballot, preferably at the post office later this afternoon.

This afternoon because it's still not done.

Ah, but close enough, close enough.

Later. A walk up the way to the construction site late in the morning to see if the activity noted while walking to breakfast showed any changes to progress at the back. OK, they've added three plastic sheets. Something different.

And then the primary ballot. Why have I been fighting doing the homework required on some of the less visible races? Haven't had this problem in the past. I don't think. Or maybe remember. Anyway, it's done, stamped and placed in the hands of the postman when he came to deliver the mail.

Are you looking for a gold star? A pat on the head?

A pat on the head would be fine.

Evening. Started, but then skipped most of Doc Martin, but then watched Midsomer Murders right through until the end. Lights out then before ten (again).

At the Oakland March For Health earlier this month taken with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
