Night
Monday. Lights out by nine-thirty to awaken again an hour ahead of the alarm, that hour passing in two or three blinks and so up and out the door on a bright sunny day feeling just fine. Well, just fine for a bright sunny morning.
The two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit up and coffee for breakfast, just under the one-fifty pound target this morning for the second day in a row, the Monday papers quite thin and so finishing up by eight-thirty to set out for home, passing by what looked to be a smashed flat panel television set of some kind, a white cow statue inside the old and now defunct Grand Fare Market and then on to do the usual set of pictures as I found them, another of trash put out at the bottom of my hill. They seem to replace it with new trash soon after the old trash is picked up. Quite regular in doing that, whoever they are who's doing it.
An out of focus selfie in the lobby, up to look at yesterday's overly long entry that needed more editing than I gave it, but posted it anyway as we always do these days. These years. Not complaining, you understand, just more curious than embarrassed by much of anything that happens here anymore.
Later. A bus to the Broadway ATM, a free bus back to Grand and a walk over to 23rd to take the usual series of pictures of both the 2330 Webster apartment house construction site as well as its back side on 23rd at Valdez, where it sits across from the 2302 Valdez site. At least they're now working on the sidewalks, I'm guessing a sign that means all the above ground construction that could fall and damage them in an accident is now complete. But again, a guess.
Thought about waiting the less than ten minutes for a bus at the Webster stop, but remembered half the idea of going to the Broadway ATM was to get in a walk and so set out at a good pace (pat on the head) to the 7-11 look-alike to pick up a pint of strawberry ice cream and then home to download the pictures to the computer and have the ice cream for lunch. Haven't done that in a while. Ice cream for lunch.
Evening. Finally figured out how to move the phone from T-Mobile to Consumer Cellular after a number of phone calls, which now cuts my monthly phone bill by half. We'll see if that was a good move or not quite soon, I suspect. Still, half price, how could I not?
Watched the two part Danish series Those Who Kill that started at six, skipped watching the Finnish Force – Glow In The Dark that followed, remembering from earlier versions I hadn't really cottoned to any of the characters. The list of reasons I won't watch this and that on television or the tablet gets longer and longer. To bed before nine, checked the radio to see how the Warriors had done at eight forty-five (they'd won), and turned out the lights for the night.
