Line

Tuesday. Awoke at five-thirty again. Still, as usual, the time tumbled right along and so up at six to check the weather - not raining, but looking like it might - so decided to drive, arriving early at ten minutes to seven, but this time waiting until ten minutes after seven for the first employees to arrive. Slow traffic due to accidents was the comment.

The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, remembering, after I'd ordered, that I've blamed Eggs Benedict for ocular migraine symptoms in the past. Well, what the hell. They make good Eggs Benedict.

Started raining hard as I was reading the papers and so happy I'd decided to drive, finishing up by eight-thirty and driving home in the rain. The usual selfie in the lobby, yesterday's entry properly screwed up when I looked it over. Nothing new in that and so posted. Now to figure out how to spend the rest of this day if the rain should stop. They're saying no rain after today through the weekend.

Later. A walk to the lake bundled up against the cold carrying a camera in the backpack, not really sure where I wanted to go and surprised to feel rain drops when I left the building. Approaching Grand, I noticed a bus in the distance approaching the stop and decided, if it stopped to let someone off, I'd try to catch it. It pulled over and I ran and arrived in time to get on board, taking it to the City Center. OK, committed to something, just not sure what.

Had a turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich on a plain bagel with coffee out at a table in front of the bagel shop, the sky dark with a continued light rain. I'd worn not only the usual sweater over a long sleeved shirt and winter coat, but also the goose down jacket over the sweater and so didn't find the cold a problem. Too much of a problem. It did start raining harder and so walked to the 17th Street stop on Broadway and caught a bus home. Not much exercise, but at least out the door to have lunch downtown.

Later still. Resumed watching a movie I'd started (a week? two weeks ago?), but hadn't looked at in a while and realized I had no idea what had gone on in that first half after I'd gotten into it again. Another, but different memory glitch. Watching a movie I'd watched years ago, fine if I only remembered various scenes and not the overall story, but something I'd started within one/two/three weeks?

Evening. Watched the Danish The Executioner – Part 2 of 2 having watched Part 1 last week. Couldn't recall what it was about from the title, but once it started it all fell into place. Which is good after my earlier experience this afternoon. Unfortunately the thing was written, acted and directed by idiots. Still, remembered the story line.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
