Nine-Thirty

Friday. Lights out and radio off by nine-thirty (good) to awaken at five forty-five (also good) to get up on another clear skies, reasonably warm morning to walk to breakfast passing by a small bird I've seen many times in the recent past on the sidewalk, looking at its reflection in a shiny metal surface and fluttering up to attack what I assume it thinks is a rival. Crappy pictures, but I've missed opportunities to take pictures of him in the past and so nice to get them today. Arrived at the restaurant at five minutes to seven, the restaurant open and ready for business.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee this time, spending quite a bit of time over the papers, surprising myself when I realized I didn't leave until well after nine, snapping pictures in the usual fashion, the sun bright, obviously a decent day ahead.

Arrived, took the selfie, bitched about yesterday's entry before posting, some thought of going by an ATM later and maybe making a haircut appointment. Feel pretty good.

Later. A bus to the Broadway ATM just after noon, to cross the street and reach the bus stop opposite the bank just as a bus arrived and so there went the decision to walk instead of ride home. The bus was obviously a sign sent by the Fates and not to be declined, so it was their decision to skip the walking and not mine.

Stayed on the bus to the Grand Lake theater and walked to the barber shop to make that appointment, only to learn they were closed for the week. A walk then back to the apartment, the total distance covered about what I get walking to the morning café, not enough to call a decent outing. We'll see what we can do later.

Ha!

Evening. Crapped out for the rest of the afternoon and ended up watching the German Tatort: Borowski – Borowski And The Free Fall that started at seven, a series I watched last Friday without bailing. OK, not horrible, at least no clown suit characters had been added for audience amusement.

To bed at close to nine, lights out by nine-thirty.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
