To Bed

Thursday. Lights out after ten again to awaken briefly (again) at four to get up and take a leak, but back to bed to sleep (mostly sleep) until six.

Why not get to bed at eleven so you can sleep until seven?

I have no clue.

A walk to breakfast under clear skies, the car with the open passenger side window still parked in the same place, but with the traffic cone now on the sidewalk beside it, arriving at the restaurant again at ten minutes to eight to enter the blocked off dining room, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. Again.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee again as the weight is still too high, two people arriving this time to have breakfast behind me at a large table, finishing up before nine this time, feeling a little nervous about the additional company.

Set out for home to find not all that many people on the sidewalk, but half of them, particularly the runners, not wearing masks. More than three bikes this time at the Ford Go-Bike rack, both Go-Bikes and Lyfts this time, and then on to photograph the various flowers I was able to find on the way to the traffic light across from the Grand Lake theater. Photographed two of the flowers to include the California poppies below the Lakeview school and another of the abandoned car. All of this silly, but it keeps me amused.

Five Gruv scooters this time by the lake, the selfie in the lobby and up to wrestle with yesterday's entry before posting. Nice outside, sunny, but history says it won't get me to go out and enjoy it.

Silly you.

Later. A short walk over to the lake, looked around from up above on the sidewalk, decided there was nothing I wanted to photograph and returned to the apartment. No outdoor adventures for another day.

Back to lie down and watch this and that on the tablet, the pickings slim, up in the mid-afternoon to watch the usual television news programs and experience another day without becoming hungry. Made it easy to go easy on the eating, maybe the scale will be kinder in the morning.

Evening. Checked out Vera at eight, an episode I've seen more than once before, bailed after ten minutes and went to bed.

The photo up top was taken at the forming up of the 2016 Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in San Francisco with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
