Morning

Friday. To sleep after ten to awaken to take a leak just after five and then doze off until six, listen to Democracy Now!, get up finally at seven-thirty to drive to the Lakeshore ATM and then drive over the hill to park in front of the restaurant, enter the closed off dining room, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. The two papers. I received two copies of the Chronicle this morning instead of the Chronicle and the New York Times for what is now the third time (fourth time?) in these last few months. Why two Chronicles?

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee again, somewhat lighter on the scale this morning, but with a couple of pounds to go, to finish up before nine, thankful, at least, there were no other diners admitted to the dining room this morning, and drive home, take the selfie and settle in here.

Later. A high of seventy-three degrees today, they're saying it will work its way up to ninety degrees by Tuesday. My, my. No, I didn't get out the door, but nice to see the sun and think it might be warmer for the while.

Watched the first season of Call Of Duty a Britbox five episode series on the tablet. Interesting program, although it makes you wonder what this might imply about the British public's attitude to their police forces. Not sure there was a character I quite warmed up to, but found the series interesting enough certainly to watch.

Evening. Stayed up to watch the first five minutes of Inspector Morse at eight, bailing after seeing how miserably cranky he came across. That and his put down of Madama Butterfly when compared to his enthusiasm for Berlioz. Well, Butterfly is an opera and Berlioz is known for his symphonies, but one does not knock Butterfly without some upset here in my universe.

Then to bed, lights out after ten, we'll see how it goes for sleep tonight in the morning.

The photo up top was taken at the forming up of the 2016 Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in San Francisco with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
