Nine

Monday. To sleep not long after eleven to awaken at five, drift off as best as I was able until six and listen to Democracy Now! continue their coverage of Israel-Palestine battle. Disturbing. Up to walk to breakfast under heavily overcast skies, the head pretty much clear and the energy good. Nice to have that happen was the thinking, hope it holds through the day. Arrived to find them setting up the patio tables and so entered the inside dining area, turned on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee this time, finishing up after nine. The usual very few people on a Monday showing up to eat inside and only one out on the patio. Again, felt pretty good and so set out with a light step to happily enough shoot the usual set of pictures, the light good and most of them turning out reasonably balanced and in focus.

Was a little shocked to see the Element owned by another tenant here in my building parked across from the apartment house as the last Element to be parked there had had its catalytic converter stolen the first night it was parked. The owner of this one has had the converter on her car protected with a welded cover, but still, gave me a chill.

Took the selfie in the lobby and settled in here to start on all this. I have a drive through COVID test coming up at one-fifteen in preparation for the colonoscopy on Wednesday. Not looking forward to these next couple of days.

Later. Drove to the garage where they were giving the COVID test, arrived fifteen minutes early, but found there was no one else in line. Drove through, had the swab snaked way up into my right nostril (turned out to be less uncomfortable than I'd feared) and that was it. Drove straight home feeling clear headed and not tired.

Watched the news, took a bath, started a movie on the tablet. Got up to write here feeling a little tired for the first time. Still, not a bad afternoon.

Evening. Nothing on television. Received notice on the COVID test. Don't have it. Went to bed after eight, lights out after nine.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
