Clear

Tuesday. To sleep before eleven to awaken at six after an uneven night's sleep. No going to breakfast this morning as I won't be eating until after the colonoscopy tomorrow morning and so I could sleep in as long as I wanted, but maybe best I kept to the schedule. The “tiredness” has returned, though. A bit depressing. I'm told to drink a half gallon of something called Trilyte between five and nine this evening to prepare for tomorrow and drink the second half gallon before six in the morning.

Wednesday. Up at four-thirty after a spotty night's sleep to drink that second half gallon of Trilyte before six. Doesn't taste all that bad, but their instructions to drink the half before nine last night turned out to be a problem because all of it hadn't finished flushing itself through my system when I went to bed. I'll order a replacement for the sheets and the mattress cover tomorrow.

Otherwise the cab showed up on time and got me to the hospital, the colonoscopy went well, didn't show that it had developed any unpleasant problems and the service that took me home was there on time. Feeling tired, but well.

Thursday. Awake at six after a very solid night's sleep, up to fight the thought of driving and managed to get out the door walking to breakfast under a bright sun, the weather people saying a high in the upper sixties later this afternoon. Felt fine, the walk went well and so entered the indoor dining area, turned on the lights and settled in with the papers.

The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, the weight obviously lower on the scale this morning, finishing up well after nine to set out for home and taking pictures of the various flowers along the way, most of them not turning out all that well and so deleting some of the less wonderful pictures.

Home to take the selfie with weirder than usual looking eyes in the lobby before settling in at the computer to start the usual routine after skipping these last two days. Feel good, well rested anyway, the blood pressure good, although I haven't taken the blood pressure med now in two days. Need to talk with the doctor about that maybe sooner now than later.

Later. Puttered around doing some chores this early afternoon, finally decided to take a look up the street at the apartment house construction site I haven't checked out now in weeks. Seems they've made progress, although I suspect they're not working on it at the moment now that everything is covered with cement. I'll check again, though. A walk then halfway down my hill to take a look at the lake, see how many people might be wandering about. That was enough adventure for the day, I'm afraid.

Evening. Watched Vera at eight. I'd seen it before, but didn't remember how it turned out, although recalled many of the scenes as they played. This one was a little different.

To bed before ten, lights out at ten after a pretty good day, the energy decent, the head seemingly clear.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
