Hope

Sunday. To sleep not long after midnight to awaken at six-fifteen feeling reasonably coherent. Or something like that. Up to drive to the Lakeshore ATM and then on to the restaurant, arriving to find everything in place and so settled in at the usual indoor dining area table to start on the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, the weight still holding on the scale this morning, finishing up by nine to set out for the car, passing more flowers than usual parked four cars down from the restaurant itself. Drove straight home to take the selfie and then settle in at the computer to finish yesterday's bloviation, post the thing and then start processing the morning pictures.

Later. Turned on the PGA tournament at ten and had it going through the afternoon, sometimes sitting and watching it, but more often than not sitting nearby at the computer listening to opera and rock on YouTube. For some reason turned the tournament off when they reached the last four holes and attempted a nap, thinking Mikelson would probably win, which he did. Wasn't able to get to sleep.

Evening. I went downstairs and out the door to the front to put some trash in the containers for pickup first thing in the morning to hear really loud music playing, so loud I thought it must be coming from just across the street instead of from down by the lake, but no sign nearly of anything that could be the source. What's going on at the lake that could be this loud?

Watched what they were calling the season's final episode of The Equalizer for some reason, the plot of these things totally unreal, but lots of shooting of bad guys and the like and maybe that makes it work. I watched it more because it was too early for bed and there was nothing else on I wanted to watch, including on the tablet. To bed before ten, lights out at ten, to sleep soon after (I hope).

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
