Second

Monday. Lights out and radio off between nine-fifteen and nine-thirty after a blood pressure reading of 149/75, deciding then to take a blood pressure med. We'll start taking the med every other evening for a while, see how that works out.

Awoke at a quarter to six and listened to the five minute KPFA News followed by Democracy Now! while getting ready to walk to breakfast on a somewhat foggy morning, the blood pressure 127/79. Arrived before seven to find the restaurant dark, but the dining area door unlocked and so inside to settle in with the papers. Another eyes watering, the nose acting up walk to breakfast, but otherwise a decent start.

The bacon and avocado omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast again, finishing up at close to nine. Lots to read this morning, not that anything particularly new or earth shattering was in the news. Haven't passed by a vandalized bike in a while, but there was one near the restaurant. I thought I remembered the front wheel being locked to the rear post when walking in, but walking home it was gone. I might have been hallucinating on the way in with the runny nose and all. Still, haven't found one of these vandalized bikes in a while, most bike riders have learned to not leave them out overnight.

A single flower below the school, the line of scooters by the lake less one than there was when walking in, and a snapshot of the lady runner after she'd passed by. Haven't seen her in a while. Took the selfie in the lobby and then on up to paste together yesterday's entry, finding a number of small mistakes I'd made in the captions and such, mistakes that were rare to non-existent not all that long back.

Nothing on the schedule today, the ophthalmologist's appointment tomorrow. Maybe stick my head out the door later to see what they're doing up the way on the construction site, see how far they've gone. Still so far, so good, though. None of the tiredness creeping in.

Evening. Watched a couple of things on the tablet that weren't too bad through the afternoon. Happens now and then. Sunny and warm, the air pollution index still in the middle of the moderate range, no real thought to go outside to take that picture of the construction site up the street. No excuses, just put it out of my mind.

Forgot there was a 49'ers game this evening and so didn't check to see how it was going until the game had ended in a tie at eight-thirty and was heading into overtime. Wasn't on television (no cable), but found it on the radio and so listened to the Seahawks win with a field goal at the very last second.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2013 Veterans Day Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
