Good
Friday. Awoke at six, just like that. Up to take the blood pressure: 108/68. Last night it had been 145/70 and so I'd taken another blood pressure med on the every two days in the evenings schedule and got ready to walk to breakfast, listening to the House Impeachment Hearing taking the place of Democracy Now! on KPFA starting at six. I was a little slow, but a decent walk to arrive again before seven and find people inside and so settled in with the papers feeling a little dingy, but otherwise happy to arrive.
The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, not feeling up for eating any cured meat. Went through the papers in some detail and didn't finish up until nine to then set out for home, snap a picture of what I've been calling seed pods on the tree across from the Grand Lake theater and then one of the last Gruv scooter sitting by the lake. Home to take a selfie and to look at yesterday's entry, realizing it was far from tight and so messed with it for a while, but failing to bring it far enough around to be satisfied and so decided the brain was probably more than a bit fried, both yesterday when I'd written it and now this morning trying to straighten it out. Such is life.
Nice clear skies, although they're saying we'll have a high of only sixty-four today. Nothing on the schedule and so we'll see how this coming afternoon turns out. Would like to get a picture of that construction site just up the street.
Later. Turned on the House Impeachment Hearing when I got home and listened to it through to the end.
To bed then for over an hour, zoning in and out half paying attention to the radio. Maybe I didn't get enough sleep last night or maybe this is just another down in what is now an up and down reality.
Up to walk to the 7-11 look-alike to pick up a pint of strawberry ice cream, a small can of bean dip and a package of spicy Dorito chips. Haven't done this in some time. Comfort food of some kind, although the bean dip and chips just barely qualify. Anyway, took them home, ate the ice cream and half of the chips/bean dip (finishing it later for dinner) and then zoned out again, although by the time evening rolled around I was clearly looking to go to sleep to the point of skipping brushing the teeth because it would delay getting under the covers, the heart rate more noticeable, not racing, but erratic.
Evening. Thought about this later. I did brush the teeth and rinse with the anti-dry mouth wash, as always, but what had brought this on? Just something that happens now and again or perhaps the ice cream and bean dip? We'll skip both for a while. Maybe a long while. The blood pressure was 134/75 this a full day after having taken the med last night. Pretty much fits with other readings taken one day later. If that's as high as it goes we'll say it's good.
