Ten

Monday To sleep soon enough after ten to awaken then just before six in time to listen to Democracy Now! before getting up and walking to breakfast under clear skies wondering, as I was passing by a series of garbage cans that had been overturned by someone last night, if I'd dressed warmly enough as these mornings are getting colder and colder. Am I going to want to sit outside on the restaurant patio when it gets colder still?

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up well after nine. I'd been joined by two or three groups at other tables, but it was somewhat warmer by the time they arrived.

A comfortable enough walk home under again a bright sun, the usual series of photographs on the way heading toward the Grand Lake theater, but crossing the street at the light to take a picture of their marquee. This has always been one of the more interesting neighborhoods in Oakland, happy to have ended up living here.

Home to take the selfie and settle in at the computer, finishing up with all of this just after noon, the sun still bright, the sky clear, but putting on a sweater as it's gotten colder here inside.

Later. Tablet, news, more tablet and thus has gone the afternoon. Cold, though, and so put on the goose down thermal jacket over the sweater. A first for that. The air quality Good, the afternoon gone.

Evening. Watched Father Brown at eight more to take a break from the bedroom and the tablet, the episode itself more than its usual dumb. To bed and to sleep after ten.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
