Decade

Thursday OK, not a bad night's rest, awakening at six-fifteen feeling pretty good to get up to walk to breakfast under clear and sunny skies, the temperature still cold, but again, not as cold as it was Tuesday when I wore the goose down quilted jacket for the first time. They were still setting up the patio tables and chairs when I arrived, but settled in soon enough and started on the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee again, finishing up after nine to walk home, the temperature now warmer, the attitude very good, no signs of tiredness, happy to be walking along and paying attention to my surroundings (and getting all my picture links in).

Home to take the selfie and go through the finish/post yesterday's entry, process the pictures and starting the writing here routine. Took until noon.

Later. Cold inside the apartment again in the afternoon and so turned on the heat and put the goose down padded jacket on over the sweater. Why the cold in the early to mid-afternoon when the daily high for the day arrives?

Watched a quarter or so of the Indianapolis Colts - Tennessee Titans game on the tablet. Haven't watched a sports event on the tablet before, but comfortable enough doing it while lying on the bed. Now that I'm getting into the second season of Suburra: Blood On Rome I'm realizing the thing just goes on and on, the same characters doing the same over the top things, repeating, repeating and so we're starting to get burned out on the thing. Or perhaps more likely burned out spending these afternoons lying on a bed rather than something different.

Are we babbling here?

We are, having burned out earlier at the end of this morning and putting off adding this section until tomorrow.

Evening. Stayed up to watch Vera at eight. I'd seen it before, but had no idea who'd done it or why until the very end when all was revealed. To bed, but put the tablet away and listened to the radio for a while before turning off the lights just after ten. Friday the 13th tomorrow, a Facebook post suggesting the bad luck Friday the 13th might be supercharged falling as it does in this 2020 bad luck year. Let's hope it's not setting us up for a bad luck decade.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 Oakland Art & Soul Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
