Butt

Sunday To bed early and to sleep early to awaken early just before six to half listen to CounterSpin and TUC Radio before getting up and driving to the Lakeshore ATM on the way to breakfast, parking and settling in at my table out on the patio, the temperature colder than it's been so far. Best I'd dressed for the cold and driven rather than walked was my thought.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, the temperature quite a bit warmer after the sun had risen, finishing up well after nine to walk to the car and drive straight home to take the selfie and settle in here at the computer listening to the Masters tournament playing on television in the background.

Later. A high of sixty-seven, sixty-eight, this afternoon, still having to turn on the heat in the living room when I got home. Watched the end of the Masters, lied down and watched more of a series on the tablet, got back up to watch the end of the Raiders-Broncos game.

Evening. To bed not long after eight again, lights out after nine. No thought to go outside earlier to take pictures of the construction site just up the way. A trivial outing, but still, just a passing thought without action. How long has it been since I've done checked it out? Two days now without walking to breakfast. Not enough exercise in that half mile walk each way and so skipping it doesn't do me any favors. What's it going to take to get me off my butt?

A good deal more time spent bitching from the sound of it.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 Oakland Art & Soul Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
