Morning

Monday To sleep soon enough to awaken at a quarter to six, turn the radio on way down low, blink a couple of times and it was close to seven. OK, up to walk to breakfast, not sure how cold it was going to be when I got outside, so dressed as warmly as the closet allowed. It was cold, but not as bad as yesterday and so settled in at my table to start on the papers before other diners started to arrive.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, the weight on the scale this morning good, but thinking there was no reason not to keep at it. Finished up after nine, the sky clear, the sun bright and so back to the apartment. There was a breeze (which messed up some of the flower photographs) and so it wasn't overly warm, but it was close. They're saying rain tomorrow morning. We'll handle that when it comes.

Home to take the selfie and settle in at the computer to slap together an ending for yesterday's entry before posting, process the pictures and then lie down for an hour's nap before starting this. I bitched about not getting any exercise yesterday, maybe try something radical later this afternoon.

Later. So much for “radical”. Spent the afternoon on the tablet and that nap. So much for getting enough sleep last night, I needed the nap. Stopped writing here after writing the first section and put off all things as we usually do every day now until the next morning. “As we usually do”. My, my.

Evening. The Father Brown at eight I'd seen before and didn't much like it then so to bed again after eight, lights out after nine. We'll sort all of this out in the morning.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Oakland Chinatown StreetFest with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens..
