Eleven

Monday. To sleep after eleven. Not long after eleven, but after. OK, awoke at five forty-five to get up, take the blood pressure (looked good) and listen to Democracy Now! before setting out walking to breakfast under clear skies, arriving to enter the indoor dining area and settle in at my table with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up just after nine to set out for home taking the usual string of flower pictures feeling clear headed and not at all tired, so maybe we did get enough sleep last night. But then who knows? Home to take the selfie in the lobby before taking the blood pressure (still good) and then settling in at the computer to finish and post yesterday's entry, process the morning's pictures and start here at noon.

Later. A story in the East Bay Times this morning reported the shooting and killing of a man who'd been following a thief who was breaking into cars along Grand. This happened yesterday just across from Lake Merritt less than thirty minutes after I'd returned home after taking pictures of the drummers at the Pergola. Weird. Adds to the list of things that don't encourage me to get outside more often.

Evening. Went through a number of television series and movies on Netflix and Amazon to no avail, turned the lights out by nine hoping to not have another night of getting to sleep after eleven.

The photo up top was taken in May 2015 at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
