Ten

Tuesday. To sleep before eleven for a change, awakening at five forty-five to take the blood pressure (110/72, 117/64, 115/66), good, to listen as always to Democracy Now! before getting up at the usual time to walk to breakfast under clear skies and arrive to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The Crab Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up by nine to walk back home feeling quite tired to the point of dragging a bit and thinking am I going to have to run to the bathroom once I get home? Took the usual string of pictures, took the selfie in the lobby and at the last minute got the clear signal I needed to scoot to the bathroom to arrive just in time. Gets old, this routine.

Took the blood pressure: 98/52, 97/57, 87/53. No wonder I felt tired and a little dizzy. Still, sat at the computer, finished and posted yesterday's entry, downloaded the morning pictures, but then lied down until ten-fifteen to get up and drive to the lab for the monthly Protime blood thinner test, finding a parking spot and so ending up arriving ten minutes before the appointment to find I was next in line. Got the blood drawn and drove straight home, arrived and took the blood pressure again (111/58. 107/60, 113/61) to find in back in range. Now to finish processing the morning pictures and all the day's tasks are essentially done.

Later. A good hour's nap starting around one, the blood pressure up into the range we're looking for at two and so took the blood pressure med. The later afternoons are where it tends to reach for the sky.

Listened to Classic Albums - Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon on PBS at four. There was a time when, if you visited friends, it was playing whether they were tuned into KSAN or playing it on their turntables. Seven hundred and forty-one weeks on the Billboard 100 chart, thirty million copies sold. I was responsible for purchasing at least a couple in that total.

Evening. The blood pressure started rising in the late afternoon and got quite a bit higher this evening and so ended up taking two of the blood pressure meds, the second one at seven-thirty. Should have monitored it closer and taken more. Not good.

Finished watching Amnesia on Prime on the tablet. I can say it kept me wondering who'd done what to whom in a more direct fashion than most any of the other many detective series I've watched in the past right up to the end, albeit with less sympathy for the detective character, but this went on until nine when it was lights out and again, my lights out after ten.

The photo up top was taken in May 2015 at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
