Still Be In Bed?
I don't know if this is good or bad. The symptoms have been pretty strong lately during the day, easing off toward the evening. How long do you have symptoms like these before they show up on somebody's radar? How long before they do you in? I have no idea. They're not terrible, a little like being stoned except for the sore muscles in the chest and shoulders. I talked at length about them with my cardiologist and he didn't think they had to do with the heart. The stress test sonogram they ran was negative.
He cautioned me about letting my arteries cholesterol out, although my numbers have been really low over these last two years. You never know with your doctors. He also suggested I call his office if I found myself having a heart attack. Call his office. OK. So I guess I'll just stumble along and get ready for the holidays. Order some of that good deep dish double chocolate stuff, the triple marbled steaks and the buttered butter cookies. (And Harry and David's pears, you understand. No need to go overboard.) Hell, I don't know. It's evening, it's Friday, the weekend has arrived.
Anything on?
Nothing in the way of festivals from the look of it. There's a Korean thing going on in Union Square. Might take a look at that. Costumes and stuff. I like costumes and stuff. It's an easy enough ride over on BART, although I wonder about these damned dizzy symptoms. Maybe just go and say the hell with it. Figure out if I was an idiot when (and if) I get back.
Come on, come on.
I know, I know. I checked around for a local outfit renting Leica's by the week. Couldn't find one. I looked at their Nikon rental rates. I can't afford to rent my own equipment, although I was thinking about that 400mm f2.8 lens for the barest minute. What do you shoot with a 400mm f2.8? Motorcycles flying over the hill in the early light of dawn? Sure. Where to I find motorcycles flying over a hill around here in the mornings? Somewhere, no doubt. Sears Point (raceway) up toward Napa. Laguna Seca down the way toward Big Sur. At six in the morning when a young man should still be in bed.
