A Thursday lunch in Oakland

October 22nd, 2003

Feeling Upbeat
I picked up the 16 x 20 print today I had done on fiber by the new black and white lab. I also picked up two hundred and twenty machine made black and white prints of MSR's (formerly MSJ's) wedding at PhotoLab in Berkeley so she could go through them and pick any she liked for further treatment. The big print was darker than I wanted, I should have shown them the prints I'd run on the Epson to use as a model, but it's a start and a lesson learned for future work. We'll see. I'll run more on the Epson for comparison, see how close I can get in PhotoShop, tape them up on the walls so it looks really arty around here. Impress Emmy. The single fiber print was seventy-five dollars, the Epson probably five. Big difference.

Experienced all the usual symptoms today, the head, the leg, the ringing ears (the jittery, but not too jittery foot), but since I was reasonably assured none of them were going to kill me on the spot I let it roll and this evening I'm feeling better. We'll see, we'll see. At least I'm babbling on and feeling upbeat.
