Than I'd Like
Saturday. Awake this morning at nine, having gotten to bed last night well after midnight. Feel pretty good for having gotten whatever sleep, so up to have breakfast with my sister and some of the other family members downstairs in the dining room. Still not all that many people there, but certainly more than there were yesterday at eleven. I wonder if they know something we don't.

A walk after with my sister and cousin Bill pretty much along the same route I took yesterday on my own, my sister doing most of the shooting. A bit warmer than it was yesterday, so back to the hotel for the various family members to take off and do whatever they'd planned, my sister wanting to drive up into the nearby hills looking for photographs. I'm not sure if my sister is taking after me with a camera or if I take after her. Can't really matter, but I'd say interesting none the less.

I decided to go back to my room to work on last night's photographs on what has become a very slow and cranky laptop, I'm assuming because the files are somewhat bigger with the new camera, although logically that doesn't really make sense. I've upgraded Lightroom and Photoshop both, dropped twenty-five gigs worth of pictures on the hard drive, but again, something else is probably slowing it down.

The idea is to meet in the bar before seven-thirty when there's a U.W. versus Oregon football game scheduled, a good enough reason to gather, so pictures it is until the evening rolls around.

Evening. An hour or so with the various family members in the hotel bar watching the Huskies being handed their collective asses heads by the Oregon Ducks, back to the room to work on more pictures and to bed, well, to bed a little later than I'd like.

The photo up top was taken last night at ComedySportz with a Nikon D3s mounted with an 24-70mm f 2.8 G Nikkor lens.
