After Ten
Sunday. To bed early enough since there was nothing worth watching for me on television last night, before ten anyway, to get up with the alarm and head off to breakfast to read the Sunday papers. Well, to read some of the Sunday papers over the hour and a half. A nice morning, they're saying a high of ninety-one, so we'll travel light later when we head to the Rockridge Out & About.

Later. An good attempt at a nap before catching a bus downtown to the 19th Street BART station and taking the short trip to Rockridge, arriving just after noon. A snapshot as I was descending on the escalator into the thing to spend an hour and a half to twice walk the length of the festival around. Enough pictures for one section, a decent section, but that's about it. If your head is clear and your eye is right you still depend on an element of luck in getting the expressions you're after.

And yes it was warm, although not too warm, and I was tired after that hour and a half. Got on the train again, got off, walked to Grand and caught the bus back home. Debated staying on to the usual place for lunch, they'd still be serving before three, but couldn't think of anything I wanted to eat. Similarly with picking something up along the way. Not hungry, although I should be this late in the day.

Home now working on the images. If I can get in a decent guitar session before the day is done the weekend will have been a success. None of the pictures are going to go down in picture history, but the weekend has ended well. Best not to ask for more lest the Fates take offense and slip in another flat tire.

You're drifting.

But not so badly I need to stop.

Best you rethink your position on that.

Evening. Nothing on television I wanted to watch so I worked on the photographs, finishing them by about nine. Just start and however many hours later they're done, no thoughts of stopping or doing anything else, just, you know, buzzing along without a care in the world.

Except your guitar.

We shall play the guitar before the day is done. For an hour.

And then it will be?

After ten.

The photo up top was taken this afternoon at the Rockridge Out & About with a Nikon D4 mounted with an 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
