Tomorrow

Wednesday. Lights out at nine-thirty (I think, it's morning now, hours since) to awaken at five forty-five in time to listen to the KPFA five minute news before Democracy Now! came on at six. The blood pressure 112/74 when I got up, the sky overcast, but nothing that looked like rain and so out the door at six forty-five to walk to breakfast feeling in one piece, no watering eyes and what looks to be a decent day ahead. I find this is not predictive for the rest of the day.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, reading the N.Y. Times story on Trump and his siblings skipping out on inheritance taxes upon the death of his parents taking up quite a bit of time to read. Finished by eight-thirty and so the walk home, the usual series of scooters scattered about the sidewalks, people commuting on their bikes. So more pictures.

I screwed around long enough to finish the journal and the rest of the morning tasks right up to starting here until remembering I was going to do the laundry, at least threatened to do the laundry this morning, and so actually took it downstairs well after ten to be done by one. Now to see why they were blocking off my street from traffic as I was arriving home from breakfast, maybe find a picture or two I can use.

Later. Did the laundry and not much else. Tired again. I did check the street out front to discover whatever they'd been doing earlier was done and they so they evidently hadn't blocked the road for all that long, but didn't take the short walk up the street to see if they'd left any signs of what they'd been up to. No walk, no ambition, no embarrassment about skipping any thought for a walk after talking about not flagging yesterday. But then what's new about that?

Evening. Another evening spent mostly with the tablet, skipping television again. Lights out at ten, this time, to hear the phone give its receiving a phone message ring that hadn't been proceeded by the quite different phone call ring.

Checked the phone to discover a list of phone messages dating back to the seventh of last month, a list that hadn't been there the many times I'd checked in the past. The battery going? The phone failing? It's an iPhone 4 and I haven't thought of upgrading it as it's been fine at doing everything I use it for. Still, can't afford to miss these calls and messages, some of which had to do with the blood pressure readings that have been dominating my days. We'll take care of this tomorrow.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 DEFEND DACA! demonstration in Frank Ogawa Plaza with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
