Refreshed

Tuesday. Awoke at five-thirty to get up at six and prepare to set out for breakfast on a colder morning under clear skies, but the rising ever later sun less and less in evidence. I think we're ready to go off Daylight Savings Time right now instead of in another month. The eyes watering in the cold, similarly with the nose, but not to the degree I would have expected a month ago given the temperature difference. These things follow their own rules, I guess.

The restaurant open when I arrived and so entered through the front door, but still had to turn on the lights when I got to the dining area. No big deal and so settled in with the papers, ordering the single pork chop, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast when the kitchen was ready.

Finished up not long after eight-thirty, the sun now bright, the temperature warmer, but still quite comfortable in a long sleeved shirt and light jacket. A shot of another crew setting up to work on Grand near the restaurant (I'm convinced they never really stop, at least in this stretch of road where I walk, and so on to take a picture of this particular shop window again (where a robber jumped out of a car and stole my camera while I was taking its picture way back when), of a bicyclist sitting at the Santa Clara corner of Grand waiting on a light, a shot farther on of the usual suspect with another of a bicyclist under the 580 Overpass. Good. So far.

Another selfie in the apartment house lobby, up to finish and post yesterday's entry and finish this. Need to go by an ATM, so we'll get out the door later, maybe go by the barber shop to make an appointment for later this week. Sounds ambitious don't you think?

Later. A bath before walking over to the Lakeshore ATM and then right back to the apartment, getting in a decent walk. Well, on the low end of the decent walk scale.

And what's the decent walk scale?

Whatever I say it is.

Evening. To bed early again by eight to continue watching stuff on the tablet, turning the BBC News on at nine, but lights and radio off well before nine-thirty this time. Hmm. The blood pressure holding within the same range at 128/73, which is good, now to see if we can get to sleep before ten and get up tomorrow refreshed.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Folsom Street Fair with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
