Fail

Friday Awoke just before six to listen to Democracy Now! devote its entire hour to the announcement that the president and first lady have tested positive for CORONA virus and detailing how many people have come into contact with the president in this last week. We'll know more, of course, over these coming days. An interesting way to wake up in a morning. Too interesting in many ways.

Drove to breakfast on this Unhealthy For All morning, the sun a red orb later when it rose over the buildings across from the restaurant patio. All the tables in place and so settled in with the papers, ordering the plain waffled with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee again and finishing up just after nine. Doesn't really feel or smell like there's a smoke problem and I wouldn't have had a thought about it if I hadn't checked the paper before setting out.

Arrived home, took the selfie and settled in at the computer, a smoky day ahead.

Later. Tired all afternoon. Watched the CBS News coverage of the president's move to Walter Reed hospital. Evidently there's been no information given out by the White House about symptoms or anything else for that matter and the commentators have been hammering on how critical is to let the public know the truth in detail when something like this happens. Not unusual for this administration.

Anyway, tired and slow, lying down and dozing at different times for a total of two hours. The air better now, but still Unhealthy For All.

Evening. Watched the tail end of Inspector Morse, an episode I'd seen before. The usual recognizing scenes as they appeared, but not before they appeared. Still curious to know if I'd have had the same issue remembering in decades past. Just a matter of degree, I'd guess.

The air index was listed as Moderate and so opened the bedroom windows and the curtains wide to let the fan pull in the cool air. It's been uncomfortably hot in here all through the day and I'm good with letting in the cooler air when it's listed as Moderate to lower the temperature. Not sure how things would go around here if I didn't have the fans or if the electricity should fail.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 San Francisco LGBTQ Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
