October 15, 2020

Thereafter

Thursday To sleep not long after ten to awaken at five-fifty after what was probably a decent night's sleep. Up to walk to breakfast in a long sleeved shirt and light jacket, but the temperature this morning was higher and so I'll just wear a t-shirt under the light jacket tomorrow. I'd skip the light jacket, but I need the pockets. Arrived a bit early and settled in at my table on the patio, the other customers taking two tables nearby indicating maybe they were doing a little better business.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries again, we're holding our own on the weight, finishing up under a very bright sun, blue sky and t-shirt temperature. It's going to be hot later, it's warm enough setting out for home. Another building out into the parking area by the pizza bar and restaurant this time, fewer flowers to photograph, although I managed to miss one or two, home to take the selfie in the newly redecorated lobby. No trick or treaters this year, but that's no reason not to celebrate.

Started the laundry after failing in the usual attempt to put it off until tomorrow.

Later. In the high eighties at the moment, looking to hit ninety-four later, but the air index is Good and the fans are working.

Finished the laundry around one, all of it folded and hung to include the socks now resting in their box. The socks box. Otherwise listening to the news and then a short portion of the Biden town hall on ABC. That was enough. I'm not willing to listen to Trump for more than one or two few minutes. It's now six o'clock, the temperature is ninety-one degrees and I've gotten little done other than the laundry.

Evening. The power's been turned off to prevent fires just up in the hills from here, but no reports of new fires. Sixty-five mile an hour gusts of wind last night, let's hope it lets up tonight and nobody's careless with matches.

Stayed up to watch Vera at eight. I'd seen it before, but again, had no idea who'd done it or why and so watched it straight through, getting to bed again before ten, lights out soon thereafter.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2018 Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
