Tonight

Saturday A bit cooler outside last night than it was inside and so opened the bedroom windows wide, turned the fan at the foot of the bed on medium and went to sleep pretty much right off the bat, no memory of glancing at the clock through the night and awakening at twenty minutes to seven. A good night's rest.

Up to walk to breakfast, again in a t-shirt and light jacket, the temperature just a little cooler than it had been yesterday, but still settled in comfortably enough on the restaurant patio at my table to start on the papers, the sky clear, the sun due to come up over the building roofs across the street in a short while.

The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee to finish up after nine, all but one of their tables with customers as I was leaving (one hopes helping the restaurant to survive) to set out for home and take the usual run of pictures as I wondered if I'd make it in time to make it to the bathroom before the alimentary canal erupted. This only comes up when I'm walking home from breakfast, never in the middle of the day or in the evening.

None of the scooters I'd seen scattered on the sidewalk walking to breakfast had been moved when I returned, not sure what their story might be. Home to take the selfie and settle in at the computer to finish yesterday's entry, process the morning photographs and start with this.

Later. Ninety-three degrees at three in the afternoon, the air pollution index on the low side of Good, certainly better than the Moderate it read earlier this morning. At least the humidity is low, although it's supposed to get up into the eighties starting Monday.

Ended up watching football on television, my, um, range of television channels is pretty grim. Not complaining, if I wanted more access, I'd get more access. Nothing on the tablet either, tried a nap, but sleep didn't come. I evidently did get a good night's sleep. Again, no complaints.

Evening. Opened the bedroom windows and the balcony door. It was warm outside, but even warmer here inside and so it was an easy decision. Checked out The Way We Were, the Saturday night movie on PBS at eight, decided I didn't need to see it and so to bed early to turn the fan at the foot of the bed on high and turn the lights out at ten to see, after a good night's rest last night, if we couldn't follow on with another decent one tonight.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2018 Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
