Accurate

Wednesday. To sleep soon enough around ten, awakening at five forty-five to get up, take a blood pressure reading: 124/74. Good. It had been 116/67 before going to bed last night and so I haven't had to think about taking the med now for two plus days.

A walk to breakfast, taking a picture of what appeared to be the completed wall along the sidewalk at the construction site near the base of my hill, a shot of a line of scooters by the lake, all of them gone by the time I returned, the first time there's been any in evidence in the early mornings in a while.

The restaurant was open when I arrived and so settled in with the papers, ordering the two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee this time, finishing up by twenty minutes to nine to walk home under a bright, sunny sky. They were still working on the street at Santa Clara and so a picture, another of the nearby tree, on to take another of the workers now at the sidewalk construction site winding up with a quick snapshot of the runner I haven't see now in some time. An interesting walk for pictures.

The usual selfie in the lobby, up to take the blood pressure again - 114/73 - quite similar to yesterday morning's readings. Go figure.

Nothing on the schedule for later other than the usual nap and time on the tablet. But we'll see.

Later. A walk to the post office and back to pick up stamps, having used the last one to pay a bill this afternoon. Taking a look up my street as I was setting out to see a crane next to the fence overlooking the apartment house/condominium (to be) project and so took a picture. Something to check out tomorrow. Similarly a picture of the construction site above the sidewalk near the bottom of my hill just because.

Finished the HereInOakland web section by late afternoon. Better than watching what's currently on the tablet. Ambivalent, to say the least, about some of the pictures, but a sign we're now closer to being able to do better.

Evening. To bed again at eight to listen to the Giants game on AM radio before changing to the BBC News at nine, turning it off not all that long after. The Giants lost, but I didn't learn that until morning. Tired, I guess, and so radio off before nine-thirty, going to sleep with the fan turned on low at the foot of the bed, the blood pressure holding its own at 114/65. I suspect it's OK, but I'm still not sure if the meter is accurate.

The photo up top was taken Sunday at the Oakland Pride Festival with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
