Life
Wednesday. Radio off after ten when the 15 inning Giants game had finished. Remember awakening briefly around five to blink and find it was suddenly five minutes after six and so up to get ready to walk to breakfast, not forgetting the reading glasses this time. Overcast, but I thought, in seeing some streak-like breaks in the clouds, that it wasn't going to rain, even though the weather people had said something a chance of rain here. A photo of the Ford GoBike rack if only because there were so few bikes in evidence as it's usually close to full. Arrived to find the restaurant open, but just.
Had the two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit up and coffee for breakfast to the sound of a hard rain that had started to fall, thinking I'd better finish up just before a bus was due to avoid becoming drenched, which I did, finishing by eight-thirty in time to head out the door and catch the bus around eight thirty-five. As luck would have it the hard rain eased way off and I didn't get wet on the walk from the bus home and so I was dry taking the selfie in the lobby.
Settled in to work on yesterday's entry and process today's pictures to realize I was starting to feel the early stages of an ocular migraine coming on and so lied down on the bed after posting to listen to the radio and dozed off, getting in close to an hour's nap. Not the greatest start to a day, but awoke to settle in with this and check the news to see what was happening in the world.
Later. Watched various episodes of this and that on the tablet, the news on television and not much else. Sounds familiar.
Evening. Watched tonight's episode of Ken Burns’ Country Music - I Can't Stop Loving You (1953 -1963) that started at eight, remembering the music I listened to in the fifties. Bailed at nine-thirty after an hour and a half as it was getting late and so went to bed thinking I'd like to find a way to watch that last thirty minutes I'd missed. Good days, those, the start of a long stretch where buying and listening to rock and roll far into the night was an important component of my life.
