Friday. To sleep at a reasonable time, I seem to recall, but awoke at five-thirty and couldn't get back to sleep. OK, dawdled along, getting up finally to take the blood pressure - 127/77 - and prepare to walk to breakfast under overcast skies, the temperature cool, the nose and eyes behaving all the way. Happy about that. The restaurant was open with customers inside and so settled down with the paper at my table, looking forward to reasonable temperatures in the day ahead.
Had the two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, this time, the weight on the scale this morning under the 150 pound target for these last two days, finishing up by eight-thirty and setting out for home, the gas prices staying the same for a change, a picture of the usual flower, a selfie in the lobby when I got home. Felt good, the head clear, the sky still overcast and the temperature comfortable, the blood pressure (however) 136/75. Opened the sliding door to the balcony wide to get it even cooler inside.
Later. Still overcast into the afternoon, but a walk up my street to the nearby construction site to see if I could see what they've been up to and found they'd opened up the sidewalk and I was able to take photographs by holding the camera up over their canvas covered fence. OK. Now we're in business. Let's hope this continues.
I've heard the area below will be a parking garage where people will enter from my street onto an elevator that moves the car to its slot. I've never quite believed it, although they've done this locally, but we'll see. They also said twenty condominiums and twenty apartments will be built above the garage, also something I've wondered about. Is there enough space? I guess we'll soon enough see.
Evening. To bed by eight (I think), the blood pressure 135/78, which is good. Better than the 140's anyway. Lights out by nine-thirty after a session on the tablet. So many choices of programs to watch, so few of which elicit any interest. Not sure I'm alone in thinking that, but I suspect not.
