Eleven

Monday To sleep comfortably enough before eleven to awaken briefly around three and then for good at a quarter to six. Not a bad night, could have used more sleep, but off to drive to breakfast under clear skies, the air index Unhealthy For Some and the temperature going up, but still under the temperature I'd awakened to in the apartment. Perhaps I should have opened all the windows before I left, take a chance with Unhealthy For Some, but decided against it.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, the weight a pound and a half over the one-fifty pound target on the scale this morning, the bright sun where I was sitting making it uncomfortable to sit and read as I was finishing up the papers. They'd put umbrellas out, my fault for not asking them to move one toward where I was sitting, but I won't make that mistake tomorrow.

Set out early due to the warm sun, took the picture of my too many times photographed succulent on the railing, and drove straight home with the car air conditioning on full blast to take the selfie and settle in here with yesterday's entry. Finished this up at ten-thirty, a good hour earlier than usual.

Later. A high of ninety-four degrees, the air Unhealthy For All and it's warmer than hell here in the apartment, even with the fan on high and me stripped to the waist. Spent the afternoon lying on the bed and watching a Danish series on the tablet.

Evening. Didn't bother to check out Father Brown, but went to bed early, lights out by ten, my lights out well before eleven.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
