Monday To sleep after ten to awaken then for good (having gotten up once earlier to take a leak) at five forty-five and drive to breakfast at seven thirty-five, my usual time to set out whether walking or driving. It was warm. Set out in a t-shirt and light jacket, no long sleeved shirt, taking the jacket off as I settled in at my table on the patio, one of the waiters putting up an umbrella to block out the rising sun.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up at nine to take but two pictures on the way to the car, driving straight home taking a selfie in the lobby while carrying the jacket in hand. Settled in at the computer with the fan at the foot of the chair and turned it on high. They're saying close to one hundred degrees later today in Oakland and I do believe them.
Later. Yes it is way too warm right now here inside (not to mention how it is outside) and so I'm running both fans while hunkered down bare chested on the bed with the tablet.
Evening. The air quality is now listed as good and the temperature has dropped under seventy degrees! Wow! Opened the two bedroom windows and the balcony door, setting up a fan set on high in front of each to draw in the air before settling down to watch the Bletchley Circle - San Francisco - Fog of War.
I really like the idea of the series, four talented women code breakers who moved to San Francisco from England after the war and ended up using their talents and techniques to solve crimes the police forces were incompetent to solve, but don't seem to enjoy actually watching the stories as much as I'd thought I'd like. So I bailed and went to bed to listen to the radio before turning the lights out at ten, keeping the bedroom windows open, but not needing a fan to keep cool underneath the covers.
