Morning
Tuesday Awoke at five forty-five, about right I guess as I like to listen to the five minute KPFA News at five fifty-five. Up finally to walk to breakfast under overcast skies hoping the air quality wasn't too bad, couldn't tell from the looks/smell of the surroundings (checked later to find it listed as Good). Arrived to settle in at the just positioned tables with the papers. Again overcast, no worries about having trouble reading under a rising sun.
The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up around nine to walk home still under overcast skies, the temperature at least was quite good in long sleeved shirt and light summer jacket. More flower pictures along the way, some of them in the planters not getting enough water from the looks of them and so fewer available for pictures.
A photo of a motorcyle rider stopped at the Grand Lake theater light, on to snap a shot of a pair of discarded crutches and a new-looking reinforced boot of some kind (who throws these away?) and another bicyclist stopped at the 580 Overpass light before reaching home and taking the selfie in the building lobby. Another breakfast adventure completed without apparent damage.
Later. Another afternoon on the tablet, but with the temperature just fine compared to recent days. The fires continue to dominate the news, the Napa and Sonoma towns sustaining damage quite familiar from the decade I lived in Napa. Odd though to feel the distance in reading about it when you don't have friends or acquaintances directly involved in it.
Evening. Watched the beginning of the debate on television, then listened to the tail end of it on the radio while lying in bed, turning the lights out early and not waiting to listen to the six minutes news at ten. None of the debate really surprised me, given these last four years, but I'll be curious to hear what the pundits have to say in the morning.
