Alarm

Monday. To sleep soon enough last night to awaken briefly at five, blink and awaken then for good at six twenty-five after a decent number of hours sleep. I think. Took the blood pressure (115/77, 117/80, 123/72), took the blood pressure med, listened to the balance of Democracy Now! before setting out walking to breakfast under a bright sun.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up after nine to walk back home taking the usual series of pictures under an even brighter sun, the weather people saying it will get up into the mid-eighties later, not something I'm looking forward to.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby and then pretty much grind to a halt, downloading the morning pictures, but then taking hours longer than usual to finish processing them and not finishing this until Wednesday morning. Burned out? I guess.

Later. Lied down on the bed zoning out until two-thirty when I got up and drove to the dentist's office, the traffic much less than I'd feared and so arrived half an hour early. Ah, well. The visit in the chair lasted all of maybe ten minutes as the dentist briefly looked at the xrays taken on the last visit, looked at the chipped tooth and said yes, you need a crown, make an appointment for your next visit and we'll get started. All this driving and waiting around for that?

The drive home went well, arriving just after four and thus we've survived another afternoon.

Evening. To bed early, lights out after nine to pretty much go right to sleep and awaken with the alarm.

The photo up top was taken in 2015 at the ‘Vigil for Mike Brown and All Our Fallen’ with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
