Nine

Sunday. A long night of half sleep, the sinuses aching where the face lay on the pillow helping in keeping me awake or half awake or whatever it was. The sinuses pretty much stopped aching by four or five in the morning and I was awake by six to take the blood pressure (119/76, 127/73, 122/68) and take the blood pressure med before setting out driving to breakfast under half clear skies with soon to be gone rain clouds to the north. Parked in front of the restaurant and entered the indoor dining area to turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers.

The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up well after nine, a bright sun by now and so a walk to the car and a drive straight home, taking the selfie in the lobby, taking the blood pressure again (132/70, 132/74, 121/67) thinking I'll check it later around noon and maybe take another med depending on the outcome.

Finished yesterday's entry, posted it and then pretty much crapped out on starting this one. Tired. Last night had its effect.

Later. Took the blood pressure at noon to find it about right, but took another dose of the blood pressure med to see if it would stop the pressure from going up in the late afternoon as it usually does. No baseball games available on the tablet and so spent the afternoon watching movies while lying on the bed and managing an hour's nap.

Evening. The blood pressure was pretty good at eight this evening, much better than it usually is and so taking the second dose of the med at noon seems to have paid off. Now if I could only get it to consistently pay off like this I'd be good. Lights out by nine.

The photo up top was taken in 2015 at the ‘Vigil for Mike Brown and All Our Fallen’ with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
