There

Saturday. Got to sleep soon enough, last night, but awakened at five-thirty. Not unusual, unfortunately, better to awaken at six. Took the blood pressure (117/77, 130/70, 125/76) to find it higher than I'd like, but decided to take the med when I got home from breakfast to avoid having one of its troubling early morning drops in pressure. Up to drive to the Lakeshore ATM and then over the hill to park by the 7-11 store just after seven-thirty and enter the restaurant indoor dining area to take my usual seat with the papers. So far, so good.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, the weight a pound under the one fifty-five target on the scale this morning, finishing by nine, maybe a little earlier, to walk to the car and drive straight home, taking the selfie in the lobby and then taking the blood pressure again: 134/79, 135/77, 140/77. Took the blood pressure med before sitting down at the computer and going through the edit, post, start on the pictures routine and ending up writing this by ten-thirty.

Overcast and cool this morning, but thoughts of sticking my head out the door.

Later. Actually watched the entire Minnesota-Toronto game this afternoon in addition to washing the hair, but then took the blood pressure (150/74, 145/78, 155/78) and took two of the blood pressure meds. This after having taken a single dose this morning at nine. Yes, I'm going to contact the cardiologist Monday. Really.

Evening. Skipped the Saturday night movie on KQED at eight after watching it for five or ten minutes and so to bed, having watched a movie on the tablet beforehand. The blood pressure was still high at nine this evening, but slightly better than it was when I took the double dose of the blood pressure med at five. Hmm.

I'd like to say lights out not long after nine and my lights out soon after that, but another long night, the sinuses acting up, quite painful actually. Got up briefly just after midnight and ran another set of blood pressure tests: 129/73, 136/69 and 129/77. Better, but this was almost eight hours after having taken that double dose of the meds. Have no idea what's happening there.

The photo up top was taken in 2015 at the ‘Vigil for Mike Brown and All Our Fallen’ with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
