Bed

Thursday. To sleep reasonably soon after ten to awaken then for good at six twenty-five, seemingly after a decent length's rest, to set out walking to breakfast under clear skies and cool temperatures, arriving at the usual time to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up just after nine to set out for home, again under clear skies and a bright sun, taking the usual, but somewhat smaller number, of pictures. Not particularly tired while walking, which is good, arriving to take the selfie in the lobby, head for the bathroom when it suddenly became evident that was needed while ascending in the elevator and then settle in at the computer to wrestle with yesterday's entry. Many small errors made through memory glitches, catching them one after another before posting, only to catch more and post again some three or four times.

These last three days seem to show you falling apart.

Well, tired and fuzzy anyway. There was one story in the papers this morning with a fact that jumped out at me as I was reading mentioning that John Kerry, who was traveling around the world meeting with other nation's leaders on climate change policy, was seventy-seven years old. I'm a year older and the thought of undertaking a long grueling trip like that was clearly incomprehensible to me here in my now fuzzy headed existence.

Later. An hour plus nap followed by a bath and then the tablet to finish a Japanese series that managed to get me hold out through all twelve episodes over this last week. Silly, evidently based on a Manga story, but interesting enough for me, I guess. Thus has been the afternoon.

Evening. Watched the first fifteen minutes of Vera, one I'd seen before and didn't need to see again, and so to bed with lights out just after nine. They've been saying the air is relatively clear of smoke tonight and so opened the bedroom windows wide and turned on the fan at the foot of the bed.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 Oakland Half Marathon with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
