At This Moment
The mornings have been grey and overcast, but clearing before noon, and, as I sit here in my apartment after work, the sun is shining through the Magnolia tree, throwing jig saw puzzle shadows against the blinds. The tree, greens and whites and browns, is visible through the open door. Friday, late afternoon, before the weekend. Not a bad omen.
Tonight the sleep study. I have to be in the hospital by 8:30, a fairly short drive from here, so this will be short, a couple of lines about light and life and a photograph. (The more sensitive may wish to grimmace at this moment.)

The photograph was recently taken from my balcony.
