Midnight

Friday. Awoke just before five, blinked a couple of times to find it was now six and so up to set out and drive to breakfast under sunny skies, arriving somewhat early at a quarter to nine, but the restaurant was open and so into the dark dining area to turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. No group of policemen this time, making me feel we'd beat any chance of meeting with the virus this time.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes (with butter and syrup), fruit cup and coffee, finishing up around nine and heading to the car and home to take the selfie in the lobby before setting down here at the computer. Feel pretty good, as pretty good as it gets these days. No complaints: good is most always good given the various alternatives.

Later. Really zonked out for some reason and so went to be and took well over an hour's nap to then get up feeling hungry at two in the afternoon, feeling better after eating everything in sight. Strange? Well, certainly over the top.

Evening. Watched the first hour of Inspector Morse at eight and then, for whatever reason, bailed at nine before finding out who done it and went to bed. Watched one or two things on the tablet before putting it down and turning on the radio until ten when I turned out the lights. Ten is still too early, given how early I've been awakening lately, but psychologically for some reason, these days ten feels like midnight.

The photo up top was taken at the 2018 Saint Stupid's Day Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
