Tomorrow
Saturday. The usual lights out at ten or so to awaken at six, blink to find it was six-thirty, blink again and it was seven and so up to drive first to the Lakeshore ATM and then over the hill to breakfast, arriving to find it open. Entered into the deserted dining area to turn on the lights and settle in with the papers, the day overcast, the mood reasonably good. Well, neutral tending toward the good. No complaints, in other words.
The chicken-apple sausage, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up by nine and so out the door to drive home, take the selfie in the lobby and settle in at the computer to finish up and post yesterday's entry before starting here. I usually say I'm feeling clear headed, but still don't seem to spend the time necessary to smooth the writing, set off the clauses that need it with commas, feel a need to say something more than up, ate, snapped a picture, returned here.
And?
The thought of the moment, expressing it for the umpteenth time.
Later. Watched some golf on television, a replay of one or the earlier Masters tournaments, spending the rest of the time it seems watching stuff on the tablet. Long day on the tablet, the battery lower when I'd done for the day than it's ever been. Hmm.
Evening. Ended up dialing into The Natural, the Saturday night movie on PBS at about twenty minutes in, remembering I'd seen it when it was released, but realized, as I watched it, that I remembered squat about the story line. Didn't stay with it for more than half an hour, but another lesson in what I remember about shows and such I've seen in the past, how little I remember of them. Was this the case when I was much younger? Can't remember. So far it has some positive aspects, I seem to be able to watch with interest most things I've seen before, not having a clue how they evolve and how they end. Then again....
A long night, not really turning out the lights for good until it was close to midnight. Don't seem to have much control over that. We'll see how it affects our day tomorrow.
