Morning

Sunday. To sleep after midnight to awaken at six-fifty or so to get up and drive to breakfast, arriving to realize I'd not worn my mask. Just totally forgot to put it on. Memory, memory, let's hope it's not going to slide any further.

Entered the restaurant dining area, no other customers were present at that moment, and settled in with the Sunday papers to order the single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast on this Easter Sunday morning.

Finished up well after nine to set out for home, taking the selfie (note the lack of a mask) in the lobby and then settling in to finish yesterday's entry before posting and start on this. Overcast outside, we'll keep our trap shut about anything we might do out there later. The mood is good, not particularly tired.

Later. Watched the rebroadcast of the final round of the 2019 Masters tournament Tiger Woods won with interest. Discovered there was a Metropolitan Opera broadcast of Turandot on PBS and so switched back and forth at the end to listen to one or two of the better known arias. Spent more time on the tablet and thus has gone the afternoon. My sister called to say hello. She's teaching her students at home and things seem to be going well up there in Oregon. Oh, and the sun came out after one.

Evening. Watched Call The Midwife with some interest at eight, followed by what it turing out to be ever more interesting second episode of World On Fire at nine, finishing up at ten and heading for bed. Stayed up late again until just before midnight. Worked out OK last night, we'll see how if it works out equally well in the morning.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Saint Stupid's Day Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
