Ten
Tuesday. To sleep around eleven to awaken at five forty-five thinking it could have been better if it were later, could easily have been worse and so decided it was a decent night's rest. Within bounds, anyway. Up to drive to breakfast on a sunny morning to arrive to find it open, but again without customers ordering or waiting on take-out. Entered the dining area, turned on the lights and settled in with the papers wondering if their customer volume had eased off in this last week. I can't see who's in the ordering area sitting back in the dining room, but hope however they're doing, they're doing well enough to survive.
The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee this time, finishing up by a quarter after nine to head to the car and drive home, picking up yesterday's mail delivery in the lobby before taking the selfie. Up to go through the usual hour long finish yesterday's entry and post routine.
The restaurant owner had commented that the governor was going to announce whatever they're thinking of doing on this shelter-in-place order later today, my thought being she's hoping shelter-in-place will soon be over, hence my worry about how she's doing. I don't believe shelter-in-place is going to go away any time soon from what I've been reading. We'll know more later.
Later. Gavin Newsom does go on and on, but what I got from his news conference was we're in this for a long haul and it won't be over until after we've established herd immunity with a vaccine. Between now and then the shelter-in-place restrictions will be eased, but in increments and over time and so life will remain altered for some time to come. No changes can be made or announced now, maybe we'll know more in May, but this could go on for a very long period.
Evening. For some reason watched the first episode of Last Tango In Halifax all the way through, a series I've seen (and avoided) in the past, and watched some of the second episode of Gene: An Intimate History that followed before bailing and heading for bed. Lights out again by ten.
