Again
Wednesday. To sleep earlier than usual to then awaken just before five, zone out until six and listen (mostly listen) to Democracy Now! before getting up and driving to breakfast, parking by the 7-11 store across from the restaurant and entering the inside dining area to turn on the lights and settle in to read the papers. Sunny this morning, the patio tables pretty much in place, but I stayed inside, no other diners entering by the time I was finished.
The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee again, the weight even better on the scale this morning, but deciding to keep at it, not give the weight any wiggle room. Finished up before nine to set out for the car and drive straight home, taking the selfie in the lobby before settling in at the computer. We've a book to finish later and maybe drive to have the monthly Protime test done at the lab for the first time since the pandemic began.
Later. Well, Last Second In Dallas is messy to read in the sense it examines in great detail the many steps, mistakes and corrections committed by the various committees empaneled to study the film and its audio recordings of the assassination, confusing but thorough.
Finally at page 355 he lays out succinctly what the much improved acoustics and film say happened: five shots from three different locations, one of them Oswald, yes, the other two shooters and whatever number of their supporters lost to history. My guess is this examination does sound solid, but then my guess is just my guess. I wonder if this study will get any press other than the few book reviews I've found so far on the web.
A brief walk over to the lake and back. Managed to avoid driving to the lab for the blood draw so that's still on the table.
Evening. Watched Midsomer Murders all the while not sure if I'd seen it before. If I have, how long ago? Ah, well. Ended up bailing not long after nine well before it was over and went to bed. Maybe we'll never know who done it. Again.
