Mornings
Wednesday. Lights out early to awaken at twenty after six and a long night's sleep. I'm assuming a long night's rest as well, but it's hard to tell until the day is well underway. Mostly I'm satisfied with the sleep I've been getting, even with all the self examination on it.
Another overcast, but not all that cold morning, arriving at the restaurant at seven to find it open and well underway. Ordered the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, coming in about a pound over target on the scale this morning. Ordered it more because I've had enough breakfasts lately with things that have been fried, the choice coming more from the gut than any particular calculation.
If you need to bet on one or the other - a decision coming from a rational choice and your gut giving you instructions - I'd go with the gut on the assumption the gut's in charge and the mind is sitting there rationalizing whatever the gut is saying. IMHO.
Hmm. My turn to say stuff it.
Still quite overcast on the walk home, as the weather people had forecast, the usual pictures to include one of whatever these bulbs are on a tree/bush across from the theater. I'm at the point I need to get another Protime blood thinner test at the lab, but I'm thinking of putting it off until tomorrow.
Later. A bus to Broadway at twenty minutes after twelve to walk to the lab and take pictures of the apartment house construction project as I approached it along Webster. They're making progress.
Had one of the yogurt cups with fruit and something like granola on top with a small coffee at the café in the lab building, as I arrived before one when the lab opened, finished them a couple of minutes after one, but still found myself first in line. Good - blood drawn - deed done.
The walk back to Grand along Broadway to take more pictures of the project across the street from the lab from the Broadway side and then on to take a photo of a project I'd photographed between Broadway and Webster last month, then more of the large construction site at 27th. So far, so good. Sunny now and a bit too warm in a light jacket.
On to the 2330 Webster construction site and the around the corner at 2302 Valdez, arriving at the Grand Avenue bus stop in plenty of time to catch the bus straight home.
Somewhat tired for a good reason this time, more muscles than a fuzzy head. Still have the fuzzy head, but it's been generally behaving and isn't threatening to drive me to bed, although it's making writing here more difficult. Writing coherently, anyway.
Evening. Stopped writing late this afternoon and added the later picture links and this now tomorrow morning. Seems to be a habit, this running out of gas in the later afternoon and switching to mindless television and tablet watching in the evenings. Not sure how one holds onto the much clearer mornings.
